This day is a bummer. Like no other.
I failed to attend church service this morning. It's a special mass celebration for the feast of Our Lady of Fatima. And it's all because of that villain. Oh, that villain.

Gerald Santos, 2nd Pinoy Pop Superstar!
Whenever I hear this young guy sing, I just can't help but be touched with his ephemeral voice. First time I really heard him sing was in Nuts Entertainment guesting. They had a game wherein they had to guess the song acted upon by an "acting" singer. He won.And what do you know? A week after, he also won the most coveted award in GMA7's Pinoy Pop Superstar Grand Showdown (Year 2).
Did he deserve the win? It was only matter of choosing between Aicelle Santos -- powerful and bold belter a la Beyoncé Knowles, and Gerald -- gentle and expressive balladeer a la Ogie Alcasid. They were both sensational that night.
But as Regine Velasquez says, "There can only be one PINOY POP SUPERSTAR!" Gerald Santos captured the hearts of judges and audience alike. You will see it in his eyes. Congratulations, Gerald!

The Art of Forgetting?
You can forgive, yes. But forget? I don't think so. The past shall always be in our memory... in our hearts. What has been will always be part of us. Our childhood experiences, our old favorites, our previous grudges, our past relationships.According to Wikipedia.org, legend has it that in medieval times, a knight and his lady were walking along the side of a river. He picked a posy of flowers, but because of the weight of his armour he fell into the river. As he was drowning he threw the posy to his loved one and shouted "Forget-me-not". This is a flower connected with romance and tragic fate. It was often worn by ladies as a sign of faithfulness and enduring love.
Just like the popular blooms, everyone who has been involved in our lives in one way or another seems to shout like the knight from that tale (though not exactly literally).
Forget her. This is the whisper of a broken heart to a young man full of empty promises and shattered dreams... of a love left unnoticed.
Forget him. This is the chant of a bleeding ego to a loyal friend... betrayed.
Forget them. This is the plea of a hurt self to a mirror image... stoned by his detractors and almost everybody around him.
Yet, at the end of the day, the memory is still crisp clear: You can never forget. But, oh, yes, keep on forgiving!

El Mono Azul
This is me.The Blue Monkey. Ang Bughaw na Matsing.
Why blue? Blue is the color of coolness. It is the color of ice, rain, sky, ocean, whales, peace, and masculinity. It is the color of sadness. It is the symbol of heroic acts. Of valiant deeds. Of distant but real dreams. It is my favorite color.
Why monkey? The Monkey is a symbol of cleverness. It is the animal embodying intelligence, dexterity, and human mischief. It also pertains to foolishness, at times. It is n animal of extreme chracteristics. One minute, its primate ability may amaze you; the next, it becomes the laughingstock of the century. Very human, indeed. It is my favorite animal.
The Blue Monkey never stops dreaming and fighting and living. He is admired by many because of his maturity, s well as his willingness to learn. He has many friends. And all of them, he keeps and cherishes in his heart and mind. The Blue Monkey is me.

GMA7's Encantadia and Kim Sam Soon Sign Off
Sad.
This is what I felt when two of my favorite tv shows concluded their more than spectacular storylines...
ENCANTADIA...
...is a story of 4 sang'gres (royal-blooded fairies) who were assigned to guard the 4 Element Jewels: Fire, Earth, Water & Wind, in order to maintain peace thoughout the enchanted land.
&
MY NAME IS KIM SAM SOON
...is a cute love story between chubby 30-year old Sam Soon and ultimate dreamboy Cyrus.
All's well that ends well.
